Documentation

Everything you need to install and set up U/S — Urban Streetwear. More themes (and more docs) coming soon.

Installation

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. Under Theme library, choose Add theme → Upload zip file and select the theme zip.
  3. Once uploaded, click Customize to configure it, or Publish to make it live.
The zip must contain the theme folders (assets, config, layout, locales, sections, snippets, templates) at its root — this is how the theme ships, so upload it as-is.

First-time setup

  1. Menus — in Navigation, create a main-menu (header) and a footer menu (footer columns).
  2. Collections — assign products to collections, then point the homepage "Featured collections" tiles and "New arrivals" grid at them in the theme editor.
  3. Filtering — under Search & Discovery, enable filters to power collection-page filtering.
  4. Free shipping bar — set your threshold under Theme settings → Cart.

Light & dark mode

U/S ships dark by default — the signature look. To relight the whole store, go to Theme settings → Color mode:

  • Color mode — Dark or Light. Light mode automatically swaps the dark color schemes for their light counterparts and softens glows for readability.
  • Accent glow intensity — one slider controls the strength of every glowing border and hover effect in the theme.

Colors themselves live under Theme settings → Colors as four schemes. The accent color drives glows, highlights, and focus states.

Conversion features

  • Quick add — the cart icon on product cards adds single-variant products straight to the cart drawer; multi-variant products open the product page.
  • Cart drawer upsells — in the Cart drawer section, pick an upsell collection. Products already in the cart are hidden automatically.
  • Sticky add-to-cart — appears on product pages after scrolling past the buy button. Toggle per the Product section settings.
  • Urgency & social proof — low-stock badges (threshold under Theme settings → Badges), "people viewing" and "sold recently" counters (Product section blocks), and a drop countdown section.
  • Free-shipping progress bar — shows in the cart drawer, driven by your threshold.

Sections

All sections are configurable in the theme editor with no code: Hero Drop (with product rail and stat chips), Featured collection, Collection list (glow tiles), Benefits bar, Marquee, Drop countdown, Image with text (editorial split or framed glow banner), Rich text, Testimonials, Recently viewed, Related products, Announcement bar, and full mains for product, collection, cart, search, blog, and account pages.

FAQ

Why don't product ratings show?

Cards and product pages display ratings when a reviews app populates the standard reviews.rating metafield. Install any major reviews app and they'll appear.

Can I turn off the hover effects?

Yes — Theme settings → Animations. Hover effects are automatically disabled on touch devices either way, so they never cost mobile performance.

How do I show the "10K+ customers" stat chips in the hero?

They're Benefit blocks on the Hero Drop section — add, edit, or highlight them with the accent color from the theme editor.
